Nanhai Rescue 103" ship has been put into use

The new flagship of China's professional maritime rescue force, the South China Sea Rescue Bureau of the Ministry of Transport, has officially put into use the "South China Sea Rescue 103" ship with a full displacement of 19000 tons. This deep sea high-power multifunctional comprehensive rescue ship, designed and built by China itself, integrating air, surface, and underwater rescue capabilities, will travel to the front line of maritime traffic safety protection in the 2024 Spring Festival travel with a new image.

The "Nanhai Rescue 103" ship has the characteristics of functional positioning being "far", strong rescue capabilities, and high technological content. The ship has a total length of 136.9 meters, a molded width of 26.7 meters, a molded depth of 11 meters, a designed draft of 6.5 meters, a mooring capacity of 350 tons, a range of 16000 nautical miles, and a self-sustaining capacity of 90 days. The "Nanhai Rescue 103" vessel has seven major functions, including searching and rescuing personnel in distress on the water surface, towing and rescuing ships in deep sea distress, providing sea and air three-dimensional search and rescue support, external fire extinguishing, emergency rescue and rescue, information transmission and emergency command, and oil spill pollution monitoring. This ship is equipped with a DP3 power positioning system and can carry large and medium-sized rescue helicopters. It has a 6000 meter autonomous cable less submersible and a deep-sea towing system, which is at the international leading level.
